Meet the counselor

Hello! My name is Jeanette Saberton, and I’m excited to join the team at Southwest Middle School as your new school counselor. I earned my Bachelor of Science degree in Clinical/Counseling Psychology from DeSales University and went on to complete my Master’s Degree in School Counseling at Seton Hall University.

Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working with students across all grade levels— from elementary to high school—and I’m passionate about supporting the academic, social, and emotional growth of middle schoolers. My goal is to create a welcoming and supportive environment where every student feels heard, valued, and empowered.

Outside of school, I love spending time outdoors. Whether I’m hiking, kayaking, or swimming at the beach, nature is my favorite place to recharge and reflect.

I’m looking forward to getting to know our students, families, and staff, and to being a part of the Southwest Middle School community!
